Campaign for collection of hazardous waste from the households, ahead of capital’s spring cleaning, 27-29 March

The regular monthly Mobile Collection Point for hazardous waste from the households will be in three consecutive days - on 27^th, 28^st and 29^nd March. The three-day campaign precedes the capital’s big spring cleaning, organized by Sofia municipality and taking place every year.

In the beginning of 2012, BalBok Engineering and Sofia Municipality started a very successful System for separate collection of hazardous waste from the households. Hazardous waste is collected from the households by request on the universal phone number 0700 11 750, and every month in a Mobile collection point.

Since the start of the System three tons of hazardous waste has been collected.

There will be collection of the following hazardous waste, formed in the households, for free:

·         Mercury and mercury containing appliances

·         Varnish and paint materials

·         Household detergents and chemicals

·         Ink and used printing materials

·         Pharmaceutical products (medicines with expired sell-by date)

In March the Mobile Point will be placed in three different parts of the capital and will cover four Sofia municipal regions.

From 8.30 – 14.30 hours, as follows:

 

27.03.2014 (Thursday) - "Izgrev" and "Studentski" regions - at 50 G. M. Dimitrov Blvd.

28.03.2014 (Friday) - Ljulin region - at 15 Zahari Stoyanov Blvd.

29.03.2014 (Saturday) - Mladost region - in Mladost 1, Andrei Saharov Blvd., in front of Evropa store, near bl. 43
