We are launching the long-awaited campaigns for 2026 in the municipalities of the National System for Household Hazardous Waste. We thank everyone who writes to us or contacts us on the national phone number 0700 11 750.
The first campaign is in the Municipality of Veliko Turnovo on February 19-20.
The Municipality of Veliko Turnovo is among the first five municipalities (Sliven, Shumen, Radomir, Sredets and Veliko Turnovo), with which we launched the National System for Household Hazardous Waste back in 2014 and with a significant contribution to its development.
Expect the Mobile Collection Point on two consecutive days in February, as follows:
Municipality of Veliko Turnovo, February 19-20 from 10:00-16:00
The point will be located in the town of Veliko Turnovo:
19.02.2026 - parking lot near a micro market in the "Buzludzha" district;
20.02.2026 - parking lot on "Simeon Veliki" street opposite the MALL - Veliko Turnovo.
The summer campaign in the municipality is on June 17-18, and the autumn campaign is on October 5-6.
Let's remind you what we collect free of charge:
- Mercury and devices containing mercury (mercury thermometers, switches and the like)
- Varnishes and paint materials
- Household detergents and chemicals
- Inks and contaminated packaging
- Pharmaceutical products (expired medicines)

The National system for household hazardous waste is a green service of BalBok Engineering AD for the municipalities in Bulgaria since 2012. It ensures, on a national level, the separate collection of household hazardous waste directly from the generators - households and small businesses and their comprehensive treatment at the sites of BalBok Engineering AD in the most economically efficient manner, in full compliance with environmental legislation.
The separate collection of hazardous waste is carried out according to a schedule by experienced and professionally trained personnel in specialized mobile points, with the possibility of collection on request. This largely guarantees safety for citizens, prevention of pollution and prevention of accidents.
The system provides a national telephone number 0700 11 750 for contact and an information portal for use by the municipalities included in the NSHHW. The beginning of the green service was laid in the Municipality of Sofia, and at the moment, the NSHHW covers over 30 municipalities in the country.
For the creation and implementation of the System, the company was awarded as Innovative Enterprise of the Year in the area "Green Innovation" at the Tenth National Innovation Forum, held in December 2014 in Sofia.
