Important! Autumn Campaign for collection of hazardous waste from the households, 1 - 3 October

In relation to your many inquiries and expressed interest from 1 to 3 October we will hold additional autumn three-day campaign for collection of hazardous waste from households in "Lyulin", "Izgrev", "Studentski" and "Mladost" municipal regions.

The mobile point will be with the usual working hours from 830 to 1430 and located as follows:

01.10.2014/Wednesday/ - for Ljulin region - at 15 Zahari Stoyanov Blvd.

02.10.2014/Thursday/ - for “Izgrev” and “Studenski” regions - at 50 G. M. Dimitrov Blvd.

03.10.2014/Friday/ - for Mladost region - in Mladost 1, Andrei Saharov Blvd., in front of Evropa store, near bl. 43

Since the start of the System so far we have collected 4.5 tons of hazardous waste.

The inclusion of waste with hazardous properties into the mainstream household waste adversely affects human health, pollutes the environment and disrupts the normal operation of landfills.

The current System is the only possible legal way for the citizens of the capital city to get rid of toxic agents and chemicals, stored in their homes.

There will be collection of the following hazardous waste for free:

  • Mercury and mercury containing appliances
  • Varnish and paint materials
  • Household detergents and chemicals
  • Ink and used printing materials
  • Pharmaceutical products (medicines with expired sell-by date)
